About Us
What is Interventional Neuroradiology?
Interventional neuroradiology (also known as Endovascular Neurosurgery or Neurointerventional Radiology) utilizes minimally invasive techniques to diagnose and treat cerebrovascular, head, neck, and spinal disease. The specialty was originally developed in the 1980s by neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons. Since that time, procedures have expanded significantly due to the rapid advances in medical technology, imaging, and the development of revolutionary medical devices. Many medical conditions which could not be treated 15 years ago can now be treated effectively using current endovascular techniques.
