CRL welcomes Breast Imaging Radiologist, Dr. Gilda Boroumand

Gilda Boroumand CRL Women's Imaging

Dr. Boroumand joins Consulting Radiologists, Ltd. following her fellowship in Breast Imaging at Yale Medicine in New Haven, CT.

Before deciding to pursue a career in radiology, Dr. Boroumand completed her internal medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT and became a board-certified internal medicine physician. She went on to complete her Diagnostic Radiology Residency as Chief Resident at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. and when asked what she likes most about her job, Dr. Boroumand replied, “I began my medical career in Internal Medicine, but soon found that radiology was a better fit for my skills and interests. I love that breast imaging, in particular, often gives me the opportunity to make a personal connection with patients while also allowing me to focus on the problem-solving aspects of radiology. I also value my ability as a radiologist to pave the way for patient care from ‘behind the scenes.’”

Outside of work Dr. Boroumand enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and son — usually hiking, biking, and playing tennis. She also likes to read fiction, bake, and practice yoga.
