Accounting Assistant – Part-Time
Consulting Radiologists, Ltd. is seeking a part-time accounting assistant responsible for reviewing and processing invoices, employee and physician expense reports, processing outgoing checks, maintaining electronic files, resolving payment and invoice inquiries accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Payment of physician CME expenses and recordkeeping of CME expenses within database.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Communicate with internal teams and external vendors regarding payment and invoice inquiries.
- Assist with compilation and distribution of monthly physician compensation packet.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Two plus years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in Excel and Accounting is mandatory.
- Previous Access experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of account practices, including invoicing and accounts payable.
- Previous experience with general ledger software.
- Previous healthcare practice experience desired.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Frequent speaking in English, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, extended periods
- working at a computer.
- Have a secluded and secure office area in which to perform job duties during the workday.
- Have reliable high – speed internet access and a work environment free from distractions.
