To effectively manage the operations and staff of the Insurance and Payment Posting Department ensuring efficient and effective insurance processes, including claim submission, claim follow-up, payments and accounts receivable.
Provide leadership and direction to employees of the Insurance and Payment Posting Departments, including hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews and terminations.
Maintain a positive work environment by ensuring employees are held accountable and take personal responsibility for their daily activities, performance and behavior as well as treat other CRL employees with respect.
Ensures efficient processes to ensure prompt and accurate payment from contracted insurances, including follow-up processes for denied claims and efficient payment posting processes.
Ensures accounts receivable is continually monitored through reporting mechanisms and goals are obtained.
Provides input to executive management regarding procedural issues experienced with insurance carriers.
Assists Accounting Department with banking processes.
Coordinates with other departments any training issues related to insurance.
Performs various aspects of the insurance process to ensure a complete understanding of all work performed within the department.
Develop and document processes and policies for department. Update as necessary.
Post high school education including an Associates or Bachelors Degree in Management, Healthcare Administration or related area preferred.
Minimum 3 years Health Insurance and/or Accounts Receivable experience.
Minimum 5 years management experience overseeing Health Insurance and/or Accounts Receivable.
Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality with regards to all aspects of CRL business operations, physicians, employees, patients and customers.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of an organization.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
