MRI/CT Technologist

Consulting Radiologists, Ltd. (CRL) is seeking a MRI/CT Technologist to ensure efficient and effective delivery of radiographic services (MRI and/or CT scans) to our patients and referring physicians.

Hours:
Casual, Part Time
Monday – Friday, hours vary from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

 MRI:

  • Perform high quality MRI procedures including but not limited to: Brain, C-Spine, T-Spine, L-Spine, all extremities, abdominal, and MRA’s.
  • Perform and log weekly quality control testing.
  • Work with the on-site radiologist to provide necessary assistance as needed.
  • Educate patients on procedures performed and address patient concerns as needed.
  • Provide proper patient information, medical history and perform administrative duties associated with each procedure performed.
  • Review checklist for MRI compatibility to ensure patient safety.
  • Review and obtain all pre-MRI lab results.  Perform i-STAT lab procedures per policy.
  • Review all physician orders, scan patients in accordance with the referral request and CRL protocols.
  • Network  images to proper destinations for radiologist interpretation.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of on-site MRI equipment and coordinate proper maintenance when necessary.
  • Proficient at IV placement for injection of contrast.
  • Review and maintain the MRI drug box used for emergency procedures.

CT:

  • Review and obtain all pre-CT lab results.  Perform i-STAT lab procedures per policy.
  • Review all physician orders, scan patients in accordance with the referral request and CRL protocols.
  • Network or print images to proper destinations for radiologist interpretation.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of on-site CT equipment and coordinate proper maintenance when necessary.
  • Proficient at IV placement for injection of contrast.
  • Review and maintain the CT drug box used for emergency procedures.

General Duties:

  • Maintain supplies and stock linens daily.  Order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of emergency clinical procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of patient confidentiality in adherence with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • MRI and CT ARRT certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year MRI experience.
  • Minimum of 1 years CT experience in a hospital and clinic setting.
  • Strong patient care and customer service skills.
  • CPR certification required.
