Ultrasound Technologist – Casual Part Time

Casual Part-Time (non-benefit eligible)

Location:  Edina, MN (on-site)

Primary Objective: 

To ensure efficient and effective delivery of diagnostic ultrasound procedures to our patients and referring physicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures including but not limited to: Breast, Vascular, Carotid, Abdominal, OB/GYN, Extremity, Pelvic, Thyroid, and Testicular.
  • Work with the on-site radiologist to provide necessary assistance as needed.
  • Educate patients on procedures performed and address patient concerns as needed.
  • Provide proper patient information, medical history, and perform administrative duties associated with each procedure performed.
  • Review physician orders and scan patients in accordance with CRL protocols.  
  •  Maintain a thorough understanding of on-site US equipment and coordinate proper maintenance when necessary.
  • Maintain supplies and stock linens daily.  Order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of emergency clinical procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of patient confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Be flexible with hours of operations as needed by the Clinic.
  • Assist and maintain US ACR accreditation. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned and assist in clinic operations.  

Qualifications:

  • ARDMS certification is required.
  • Graduate of a diagnostic medical ultrasonography program or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years US experience.
  • Breast US experience preferred.
  • RVT Certification is required.
  • Compassionate, independent, highly skilled professional who works well with others.  
  • Have a vast knowledge of anatomy and pathology.  
  • Strong patient care and customer service skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills.  
  • Previous outpatient clinical experiences are a plus.
  • CPR certification and COVID Vaccination are required.
