MR Spectroscopy
MRS is a type of functional imaging which can show metabolism in brain tissue. Spectroscopy is most often used to evaluate effectiveness of radiation therapy in the treatment of brain tumors. MRS can also aid in determining whether an abnormal finding on brain MRI represents tumor or a benign process.
