Dr. Michael Plunkett joined Consulting Radiologists, Ltd. (CRL) in 1993 with specializations in Body Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology. He received an undergraduate degree from University of Saint Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and a medical degree from the Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota. He then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare in Illinois and in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pennsylvania. After a fellowship in Body Imaging at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, he went on to serve as Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center from 1990-1993. Since joining CRL, Dr. Plunkett received recognition as one of Mpls.St. Paul Magazine’s Top Docs for 2006-2008 and also the Abbott Northwestern Bruce Linderholm Award as an outstanding young doctor.

Dr. Plunkett enjoys the problem solving element of his job, working on difficult cases with other physicians. When he is not working, he likes to spend his time traveling and gardening.
