Dialysis Access Management
Hemodialysis may fail in some patients if there is poor or blocked blood. Interventional radiologists work closely with nephrologists and vascular surgeons to maintain functional hemodialysis in patients. Several different procedures are performed to remove clots and dilate narrowed vessels such as thrombolysis, angioplasty, and stenting.
