Pre-Surgical Tumor Embolization

Tumor embolization is a minimally invasive procedure in which blood vessels are blocked with an embolic material to stop blood flow that is feeding a tumor. This procedure is performed to prevent bleeding when a tumor is removed during surgery, and can slow tumor growth since many tumors need blood supply to feed and grow.
