Mammography Technologist – Casual
Consulting Radiologists, Ltd. is seeking a mammography technologist to ensure efficient and effective delivery of mammography services to our patients and referring physicians.
Responsibilities:
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with extreme focus on high quality patient care
- Work closely with patients, staff and physicians
- Able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude
- Perform mammography and x-ray imaging
- Verify patient demographics and clinical information for each examination.
- Check patient orders and correlate with the patient’s symptoms and problems as to perform the appropriate imaging study.
- Thoroughly explain the nature of the procedure to the patient to alleviate patient anxiety associated with the exam, procedure and /or equipment.
- Provide the necessary assistance to the radiologist and/or physician with procedures.
- Assist Radiologist, Ultrasound Technologist and other Technologists with invasive breast procedures.
- Maintain a high level of patient confidentiality in adherence with HIPAA guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved radiologic sciences program.
- ARRT certification.
- 2 + years experience as a radiologic technologist with certification in mammography.
CPR Certified.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Sonography: 1 year (Required)
- Medical Imaging: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- ARRT Certification (Required)
