Dr. Chen Yin is a board-certified radiologist specializing in breast imaging, dedicated to delivering accurate, timely interpretations that help guide both patients and their care teams in making informed decisions. Dr. Yin completed a breast imaging fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, following diagnostic radiology residency and medical school training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. Dr. Yin also completed an internal medicine internship at Mercy Health – The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati and earned a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biological Sciences and Neuroscience, along with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Cincinnati.
An active member of several professional organizations—including the Society of Breast Imaging, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, and American Medical Association—Dr. Yin remains engaged in advancing the field of radiology. A strong advocate for early breast cancer detection, Dr. Yin is particularly passionate about improving access to screening and insurance coverage, recognizing that early diagnosis plays a critical role in saving lives.
Dr. Yin approaches patient care with a collaborative mindset, emphasizing clear communication and shared decision-making. By explaining imaging findings in a way that is understandable and actionable, Dr. Yin supports both patients and referring providers in determining the best next steps. One of the most rewarding aspects of the role is the opportunity to assist fellow physicians while also connecting directly with patients to provide clarity and reassurance.
Outside of work, Dr. Yin enjoys spending time with family, especially playing with her toddler, and has a strong interest in food, travel, hiking, and getting quality rest. Dr. Yin’s personal health goal is to model the same healthy habits encouraged in patients—acknowledging that maintaining balance is often challenging, but always worthwhile.
