Biography

Dr. Cyrus Safinia is a fellowship-trained musculoskeletal radiologist specializing in the diagnostic evaluation of bone, joint, sports-related, and soft tissue conditions. He is committed to delivering precise, actionable, and clinically relevant interpretations that help referring providers make timely and informed treatment decisions.

Dr. Safinia completed his subspecialty fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at UCLA, where he gained advanced expertise across MRI, CT, ultrasound, and radiography in the evaluation of orthopedic trauma, sports injuries, degenerative disease, and oncologic conditions. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. During residency at Yale, he completed advanced training in neuroradiology, interpreting thousands of brain, spine, and head and neck imaging studies. This breadth of training across multiple subspecialties allows him to bring a comprehensive diagnostic perspective to both emergent and routine cases.

A Minnesota native from Eden Prairie, Dr. Safinia earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. His engineering background contributed to an early interest in technology, analytical problem-solving, and efficiency, all of which continue to influence his practice of radiology today.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Safinia maintains an active lifestyle through weight training, sports, and hiking. An accomplished classical pianist, he has competed in regional and statewide competitions. He enjoys traveling, exploring restaurants and cuisines, and spending time with family and friends.
