CRL President listed as a top healthcare leader
MINNEAPOLIS, August 30th, 2016 – Warren Bennis once said, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” Visionaries are highlighted in this month’s edition of Minnesota Physician’s Top 100 Influential Health Care Leaders.
Recognized in the company of prominent leaders Governor Mark Dayton and Senator Al Franken, Consulting Radiologists, Ltd. (CRL)’s President, Dr. Christopher Tillotson, has an optimistic outlook for the company he joined back in 1989.
When asked about some of the major transitions he has experienced in his time with CRL, Dr. Tillotson replied, “Our biggest change has been converting to a completely physician-led practice; in the past, we had a non-physician CEO. We feel that only through physician leadership can we realize our full potential and be able to respond to the rapidly changing health care environment in the upper Midwest.”
“The high degree of physician involvement promotes cohesion and more fully leverages our intrinsic talents,” he added.
When asked about the challenges of such a large practice, Dr. Tillotson stated that CRL wishes to remain an independent physician group – a great challenge in today’s economic climate.
“There is a fair amount of uncertainty about how to maintain a successful practice in the ACO era. I have been developing new lines of communication with our clients and competitors. When we share our best practices and concerns, we are more likely to be successful.”
