Dr. Scott Nielsen, Musculoskeletal Radiologist, Joins Consulting Radiologists, Ltd.
We are pleased to introduce Dr. Scott Nielsen, a valued addition to CRL’s musculoskeletal imaging section. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Nielsen commenced his medical journey at the University of Minnesota Medical School. His extensive training includes a general surgery internship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and a musculoskeletal imaging fellowship.
Dr. Nielsen’s passion lies in contributing to patient care, approaching every individual as if they were family. His practice philosophy revolves around treating each patient with the same level of care and attention he would provide to his own mother. He relishes the challenges of problem-solving to assist others, seeing each patient encounter as an opportunity to apply his experience while embracing continuous learning.
Reflecting on valuable advice, Dr. Nielsen emphasizes the importance of self-care, likening it to securing your own oxygen mask before aiding others.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Nielsen enjoys spending his free time outdoors. Interestingly, his alternate professional trajectory would have been in engineering, underscoring his affinity for technical problem-solving.
